Yeah that would be the only way to do it and get all the posts made.

And those Aussies - when 5pm rolls around they stop dead - they seem to take work very seriously in the day, but there is very little conception of after-hours work to get things finished. Unlike NZ, where we just work whatever hours until the work is done. If we have to work late beacuse we had an extra long game of touch rugby at lunchtime then sobeit.

Why am I not on the list? By my calculations I'm set to be a deity by around April 2008 (though it probably won't happen because my posting rate has dropped drastically in the past year).

Seriously. Jamski contributes a great deal substantively - anyone here who is trying to learn the Infinity Engine games can attest to that.

Of course he is a big participant in the forum games.

Interestingly many if not almost all of the participants in the forum games are also heavy participants in A/C. especially in threads like this.

Feeling the pressure of keeping up the ppd, aren't you? And keep drinking 20 plus kegs of xenorums per day at the rec commons is kind of boring too if you ask me.

But seriously, I agree with you. Posting for fun is nice, and fun ( ) but posting for the sake of posting is not that much fun unless you are tass or his husband. Honestly I feel that these stat threads are more fun than the drinking fest at the rec commons. At least there's something new here.

oki have been biting my tongue but can hold it no longer...

as a few have added here there are a number of threads at poly that are solely and wholly for PC increasing .. the drinking thread at rec forums is a prime example, and there have been a few others that are even worse, one titles. Doh!! and another titled Delete This, are prime examples of Spam +1 posts. And who do we find at these threads posting the most +1 +2 +3 s ???

Good question!!! it is Jamski !!!! i dont care about spam, i think it is fun (obviously) and i dont differntiate between spam, meta spam , psydo spam or whatever....

it is still the same, to make an accusation that because i dont bother trying to hide my attempts at post coutn increases makes it worse than others is jsut blatant hypocrasy....

I do these lists because i think they fun to see, also very fun to see peoples posts change after each of thethreads...

my posts per day usually remain about the same , which is why on avarage i achieve consistently high numbers, others, when they see they no longer number one appear to increas their posting for a period, which is why i do the mid month ppd updates.

Now as to how the numbers are calcualted, i have stated before in the toher threads , but i guess i should put the explanation in each thread, i maintain a record of each months posts and then copy and paste from the members pages the latest figures...

only the first months lists were based on your average psots as shown at poly. now they are shown as your last months average from the last list till the current one.

i can also do one based on average over last 3 months, but most seem to be more accuarate based on the monthly one.

as for any errors it is usally based on the fact that i do the copying and pasting late at night at work and get a bit tired, so sometimesi paste into wrong spreadhsheet cell.

i will attempt to make some double checks next time to prevetnn asny further errors.

and yes one day i will remove that silly little icon from his name in the list.....



hope this goes to show that i can when i feel like post a long post like everyone else , but in relaity it is still only done to get +1 and continuie on my merry way.....

I just read through the list (for like the first time ever): something's seriously wrong there. It lists Pedrunn (a CtP2ers who's been noticeably absent recently) as someone with a PPPD of 10+. He's only posted twice all month!

It's probably good. I made my way onto the top 5 of PPD for this past month so now I'm sure I'll be 'marked' in some way.



Oh and PPD means post count per day. Rasputin took our post count total from the end of February and the end of March to compare totals and generate the PPD number. I think he only did it for the emperors, kings, etc. though.
