Which goes to show why banning without an explanation just isn't going to be effective. Surely a script could be written that bans someone who violates the upload codes and also places a generic "You have been banned due to illegal uploads. Bad poster, bad." message in their PM box.

Remember: By definition, the Admin is never wrong. He was just trying to test his banning powers. No harm was done, since you became (ostensibly) a more productive member of RL society for those 36 hours. In fact, you must consider the monumental mercy and wisdom of Lord Markos in that he kept your banning to enough of a minimal period that the madness brought on by lack of 'poly did not have a chance to fully infect you over so short a period (compared to the lengthy and maddening downtimes last year....).

I did something like that when I was a n00b at another site. It was found after I insulted a mod, and I got a THREE WEEK ban, I begged the administrator and got it reduced to a week.

That was a long time without posting, yeeeeesh!

They have a ban log. If you were banned the reason should be there I think. Ask Ming, as I said earlier. You should try and find out why, otherwise you might do it again!

I have often asked that question in threads like this and have found that it is rarely answered by site moderators.
