i did that mission without shooting his tires out, i got a bit lucky because he hit another car and i wouldn't let the bastard overtake me after that

my mate had a map for the all secret packages, but he was getting really anal about it, so i decided against using it. only found about 20 of the bastards so far though.

I attempted to find all the packages myself. I found around 65 of them, decided to start again and actually mark the locations on my map. I refound about 40 of them. Then I started again and just used the map.

I generallly subscribe to the theory of 'Slow and Steady wins the race'. It tends to wrok, just stay close enough behind him to where if he screws up a little with a cop or something, you can overtake him.

As I remeber, it is on the back of the poster that come with the gaem, or if you don't have it, or if you need additional help, there's also a starategy guide with the map, and little one sentence texts about each package, with pictures.

I didn't like GTA3 as much, it had some fundamental flaws that were fixed in Vice City, and the environment was wayy too dark for me, even with the settings turned all the way up.
Where are the tanks in GTA3 anywasy. i used a code to get on there, and almost got squashed like a banna peel under hte firm heel of a sneaker.

I did it the old-fashoned way. I killed heaps of civilians until police turned up. Then I started killing them too until I got 6 stars. I destroyed the first lots of military troop carriers and soon a tank arrived. After shooting them (first, otherwise they kill you with a second burst fire from their gun) I jumped in the tank and then grabbed the 6 police bribes I just happened to have outside my save-area. Hooray.

Stealing a tank wasn't THAT hard in GTA3.

I loved GTA3 sooo much. GTA vice city was good too, but it didn't have that same highway that I loved to race on. Vice City would've been alot better with a big highway.

Yeah, it did lack a highway. They had their little stretches up and down the island, but i really wanted somewhere big where i could have huge cop chases.

Its a cannon.

The soldiers in Vice City are armed with one of the orange-type weapons. The soldiers in GTA3 are armed with a purple-type weapon. With full health and armour you would last a second against them.

Are you referring ot the guns actual color, or the background when the gun is selected? I'm prety sure you mean background.
So providing that I'm correct, then they are carrying something lke that anitaircraft rifle from Vice City, that you get in Phnom Penh '86? Damn that has to suck!(Providing i'm right )
