I love the banner ads,keep up the good work. I would love to win a date with a Penthouse pet,cmon that would rule. Children that live in a fake world are the only ones that could be offended by such things. Go outside and billboards are much more extreme.Men and women date,and yes Ada they even have sex,its what is natural.If not for sex you wouldn't even be here. So chill out,if you don't like the ads don't look at them or don't come to Apolyton simple as that.

I make plenty of sense Ada,its you who must learn respect for peoples ideas.All you ever do is complain. Look at most posts you make and its a complaint about something. I don't care how old you are,you act like a little brat. This is not your site,if you don't like what it has in it just don't come here.There is nothing wrong with the banner ads here.There is absolutely nothing offensive about them,and you seem to not even understand what they are about, yet you judge them as bad. Ageist comments hahaha lets call it wisdom rather than age,and yes you seem to have very little wisdom.When you have gone out into the real world you will realize Apolyton is quite a good place,and the banner ads they have are more tame and non-offensive than saturday morning television. Lighten up kid or you are going to find the world outside of the internet pretty vicious and offensive.

Well of course they use females in advertising. Thats what helps sell things as does good looking males. Is it sex they are selling,no I wouldn't call it sex. More like beauty and desire. Ada is making a mute point,he is trying to say that somehow this is offensive,not that its wrong for advertising. His point is always that it offends him and because he is an important individual people should listen to him and get rid of the ads.When in reality he doesn't have a clue to why he thinks the ads are offensive. He complained once about an ad that he thought said something offensive,when in reality it was just a normal wording.I have no problem with people having a view point on ads,but when a 13 year old begins to demand ads be taken off just, well its a bit silly and childish.There are certainly no bits of nudity or adult language in the banner ads so they become perfectly normal ads.Its a free world no one makes anyone surf sites on the net,so when one doesn't agree with a sites content they simply don't go there. Ada tends to get riled up pretty easy,and he doesn't seem to mean any harm,but he sometimes likes to think Apolyton is his private web site.At least he is more entertaining than most on OT 
Back to my regularly scheduled program,hmmm at 4am I guess thats an infomercial for the ab machine(now thats an advertisement using beautiful women to sell a product and beautiful men too.)

UGO is responcible for the content it shows on its network. To a degree, Apolyton is also responcable, but because the Admin.s have refused to act, I have decided to go stright to UGO.

If it offends one person, and that one person has a ligit. reason to be offended (like the add in question is sexist or racist), then that add has offended one too many. Assuming that there is a ligit. reason...

Prehaps, but thats a different story. Those women choose to dress the way they do, and aren't trying to sell a product by sexally attracting the other gender. Pretty much, that's a different story. (NOTE: For my arguements, view a few 'quotes' down).

If there were a really bad billboard, or TV advertisment that came to my attention, which was shown/seen many times, then I would consider complaining depending upon the cercimstances. In this case, I've decided that the right thing to do is to complain.

UR is right -- to a degree. One of my multiple points is that using sex to sell is wrong, but that's not my only point. (Finally, the long-awated posts 'quote'). The adds also offend people, or would if brought to attention. I can't really see the majority of women not being offended by these adds. They have underlaying implications, and are (to be frank) sexest. The adds in question offend women -- and all others that believe that men and women should be equal. This is partually about equiltiy -- and tolerence. Tolerence of other people's beliefs, and tolerence of the multi- racial and gender sociaty that we live in today. It is my belife that we must all respect each other, dispite our differences. Even if you do not agree with me, I think it is a fundemental point that we have to be tolerent of each other.
Another point -- on many occasions, I have accused these adds of being sexest. I now elaborate -- these adds are sexest in the way that they portray women as inferiour to men -- and as 'sex toys'. The add.s are actually WORSE because they ALWAYS show pict.s of women. vlad: when was the last time you saw a UGO add which showed men and women equally sexually. If you can give me an add which did this (preferably only showed men -- just to balence it out -- but can also show women too, as long as neither sex is shown in a domanant position), and was on for some time (not just a one-time, one-day add), I will do one of two things -- call you a lier (I really don't believe that you'll be able to find a real one), or cede this arguement (in other words, I will drop the 'sexest' portion of my arguement). You see -- I'm just trying to do what I think is right -- if I can be convinced that I'm wrong on any of these subjects, I'll drop that subject.

I believe that any individual who can voice a ligit. concern about an ad. should be listened to. Pretty much, if you can convince me that you're offended by an ad (or a user-name, etc), then I'd take your side -- even if the ad didn't offend me.

I have made my points many times over -- if you chose to ignore them, then that's not my fault. Furthermore, if I havn't been clear about something, or if you have trouble understanding one of my points (it seems that you're having trouble with ALL of them), then just post here, and I'll do my best to clear up my explanation.

It doesn't really matter to me. I have made many mistakes in my time -- I'm sure that you have too. I normally do my best to apolygise for them. If I didn't in this case, then just say so, and I'll do so now (or in a new thread if you wish) -- assuming that I agree with you in that I really made a mistake.

Couldn't resist putting the '13 year old' bit in there someware, could you vlad? When you say it that way, it sounds like you think that I don't know what I'm talking about becasue I'm 13 -- or that were I not 13, something would be different.

And now you speek of me as though I were a meer child (don't get me young -- I really am still a child), and you my repremending adult. I guess this goes under the 'age comment', which I earlier reserved the right to not comment on.
There is one thing, however ageist the rest of the comments may be, which I need to say something about. I get 'riled up pretty easy', hay? I'm actually going to tell you that you're right -- when it comes to issues that I feel strongly about, I do get
'riled up'. But I don't get 'riled up' about anything, so please don't leave that impression.

After reading your post, I'm having a bit of trouble finding something that actually deserves a reply. With a bit of effort, I've managed to find two things which I have something to say to. First (responding to "The things you complain about are accepted norms" -- I'm not quite sure that this IS the accepted norm. Pretty much, it only is if you make it so. Besides, the 'accepted norms' have changed in the past, and they will do so again in the future. Prehaps the 'accepted norms', just arn't acceptable.
Second (responding to the "I don't care if you are 60 you act childish) -- let's take a look at the word 'childish'. What I am doing is standing up for what I believe is right. You may dissagree with me, but that doesn't mandate my behaviour 'Childish'. If that's not what you're talking about, then I'm confused. I'm making very serious posts, and I'm doing my best to also be at least as polite as the post I'm responding to (and more, as in the case of your quoted post). I'm having trouble calling ANYTHING I've done to date childish. If you're willing to support this allegation, and can convince me that I really am being 'Childish', then I can do my best to rectify the situation (and give whatever apolygies are nessessary).
If there really is one part of your post that I haven't already responded to (mutliple times), then tell me (preferably in a polite(er) tone), and I'll do my best.

Some advice here... Perhaps it's time to stop your one man crusade, it's obvious this is not going anywhere..

Right now, your complaining is dangerously close to whining.
I didn't mind you voicing your complaints at first, but you already received an answer from the site owners about the course of action (none), and you have the option of writing an email to the company where the ad originated from. That should be enough.
You may think this is a really important issue but it's not, not at all, and in time you will see that as well, even though you think otherwise at this very moment.
