I was gonna say Zak McCracken, but that no longer seems to be accurate.

Okay.
#1: You must deliver the package!

No and no.
#2: Learn about your enemies by reading computer terminals around the office.
and just for the heck of it
#3: Action/puzzler/adventure, PC/Amiga, early '90s.

Nope.
#4 will come in the AM. I'll let this one simmer for our friends overseas.

Nothing? Oy.
#6: You can toss grenades, lay bombs, or shoot a laser that bounces off walls. Luckily, you can not harm yourself with the laser, as sometimes you'll need to shoot yourself to eliminate the most primitive type of geneticly-engineered enemy.

Nope.
#7: The game is played from an isometric third-person perspective.
And this clue is damned near a giveaway--
#8: There are four types of enemies, products of a genetic engineering experiment gone awry. The title of the game is the name of the fourth, most advanced type of enemy.

Nope.
#9: The action takes place in the Genoq Biolabs skyscraper in Singapore. You, a courier, land your jetpack on the 80th floor, and must reach the 89th to deliver your mysterious package to the chief scientist, Derrida--the package is the only chance to eliminate the rampaging creatures that have taken control of the building.
#10: The most primitive type of artificial lifeform you encounter appears to be a simple, bouncing red ball. It can become invisible and envelope you, leaving you only seconds to bounce your laser off a wall and destroy the creature from the outside.
The second generation is a wiggly blue cylinder that disappears into the floor, and can stomp you flat if you do not pay attention to where it disappeared.
The third type of enemy is far more sinister, a shapeshifting creature that can take the form of civilians or ordinary objects common to the building. It is immune to your laser, and must be destroyed with grenades.
As for the ultimate artificial lifeform... that's another story all together.

We have a winner!
D/Generation, actually.
The baddies were A/Generation, B/Generation, C/Generation, and D/Generation.
EDIT: Microprose, 1990.

Oy! Anyone home?
I'd do another one, but my internet accessibility is going to be rather spotty in the next few days, as I will be moving.
