anyway, cats attack and only manage 1 lousy hp off your elite spear guarding Chengdu. However, instead of the old hari kari, the others just laugh at the shame faced captians of the catapult battery, and force them to drink ale until they puke.

Well, that's weird. There was most certainly a peace proposal (unaccepted) from Persia. Since it was unaccepted, I figured you were trying to leverage everything out of me.

It must have been a communique from the legitimate, peaceful ruler of Persia who is apparently hiding from his own bloodthirsty military

The Chinese would love have a "drinking rituals" for failure, but its pretty grim in the Chinese kingdom - we are very fatalistic now.

Cats manage to do a bit more damage this time. Amazing what a hangover can do. 5hps off defending spears, one immortal goes in and kills a spear suffering 2 damage. The rest sit back and await the arrival of the elites...

Okay, I'm fed up with RNGs I'm getting in this game. All of China is a swamp, no iron, nasty neighbors , and catapults that can't hit the side of the barn when parked inside the barn!

Ah, where did the glory years go when the Chinese Eastern Coast was known as the "Golden Coast" due to all the Wonders of the World.

Well, it was great playing in Easygoing with you guys. The Persians will seize my last city this coming turn. I have already made arrangements to disband the official government and fight a guerilla war against the Persian occupiers until the last person with a drop of Chinese blood has died while killing Persians.

Good game Shogun. I think that there wasn't much you could do being next to Persia with iron on that sort of land. Jungle and swamp suck big time, and you didn't have any iron either. Then I got an army right off the bat. Sorry it had to be you but the island was small and one of us would have declared war at some point, and I didn't like the idea of having to contend with riders..

I really hope Civ4 eliminates the randomness of the game like this. Against humans, it's important to have a balanced start location and surrounding land.

It's a very sad and foolish state of affairs. I cannot see what the Indians have done to annoy the English. We offered our neighbours a peaceful existence and this is how we are repaid!

It's good strategy on your part. Controlling the entire island is a huge strategic advantage. I gambled a bit on some wonders -- which in retrospec, I should have built workers and military units instead.
