Reminds me of my first Math teacher, who's name was Fickert. You probably know it, but for our anglophone friends it's worth to mention, that translating that word to English is like replacing the i with u and dropping the final t. He then married a woman, who refused to adopt his name, so he ended up taking hers. A wise decision, if you ask me.
