ah the wonders of babelfish - i've compiled the results of babelfishes translation of the russian site into a word document(37kb) you can download. I've scanned it with the latest update of my virus software
Some interesting(and funny!) info in the doc - but its possible to work out the general info from babels translation. SeaDogs2 is called Corsairs2 at present and it sounds like its going to be the mother of all pirate games......it will improve on PotC is just about every aspect - i cant wait

Game AAR 10/7/4
'gameplay mode = realistic'
last night i attacked a fort from the sea - it was awesome fun and SOOO hard, i had to re-attempt it many times
It took me two attempts before i realised i had to actually shoot and destroy the cannons on the forts wall - i'd been rushing in(and getting my three ships sunk!) to get close.
And this is FUN i'll just say range and paitence is the key
after the cannon battle which lasted for about 30mins real time, you then get to attack the fort in some hand-to-hand encounters. I had to run around 3 levels, each a little harder than the last, and defeat about 12 enemy soldiers by my self - it might not sound like much, but when you have 3 or more guys attacking you it does get very difficult to take them down, you have to wait for the right time to switch from defense to attack. Get it wrong and one hit can kill you.
Which means you have to do it all over, from the begining as you cant save once the attack on the fort has commenced!!
Still its worth the hour or so of effort as you get to keep the booty from your raid, and also a decent amount of experience points shared around all who took part in the action.
Its much harder to do successfully when compared to Sid's origonal Pirates, as it should be.
Still i'm sure with a couple of battleships and a high level crew, and some more experience, it might become as easy as taking forts in the origonal Pirates?
And i should just add that trying to resist the lure of piratical activities is difficult(and now my ships hoist black sails!) - still luckily i can buy my way into heaven at the churches, just like in real life
Arghhh! tis a sweet release as can be ad on them ungodly calculas machines, cuss me old bones to Davey Jones locker if m' tongue spake untrue!
