By the way, here's my AAR:
A Portugese scout cought me building my first Settler, so I could not switch to a military unit without losing shields. By the time I built a Warrior, most of my tiles were pillaged.
A few turns after that, Russ' Hoplite/Archer pairs showed up and started pillaging as well. Managed to hook up iron by building a colony, and paid the AI gpt for a loan to upgrade 3 Warriors to Swordsmen. All 3 Swordsmen died attacking a single Hoplite.
Since then, bankrupt and without Iron, I have been waiting to be eliminated. Thanks for finally showing up to do so! 
Good game. It had some intense moments for me, and I even thought I could survive for a while, but it doesn't always work as well when you don't have the Celts.
