But truth be told, I don't really have the time to interview anyone right now- I'll do it if I must, but if anyone else, anyone at all wants to take this honor, please do so...

After you have enough questions in the thread 10-15 or so... then you can compile a list, ask the standard ones in addition to the others and Email/PM Metaliturtle the questions... then hopefully after 1-4 weeks, he'll PM it back to you and you can edit it, then send it to me and I'll see about getting a 'real' news item!

Well..The reason I feel I should be interviewed is the following:

#1-I am a fairly colorful and innovative writer(hmm..lets just say i enjoy writing very much!)

#2-Come from a long line of CIV & CIV related gaming..(just one more...t-u-r-n)

#3-I volunteered as I want to show support and offer to be bottom step from which all others step on to be a better story!

#4-I love posting on Apolyton and for all I have gotten enjoyment of here, would like to give back a small portion to the community!

#5-I have been here for maybe 4-4.5 years (ok..I was DrDanger (a nicname from my High School daze in the 1970's) to start with then Troll (Thanks to Alexanders Horse from Australia ) then thanks to Ming (and my Grandson!!) I got changed to Grandpa Troll this past Christmas!

#6-Who are YOU whom is not yet listed questioning ME? a really nice sorta fella?

Ok..thats a small list of reasons WHY!

Plus I like sending nice messages to people whom are not a member of my particular civilization I am portraying!!( J/k)

Anybody looked into Diplomacy games at all? I've been reading about them and it sounds like a really fun way to combine PBEM and online Multiplayer with Story writing. I just read a FAQ about Diplo games and it made me wish I still had my copy of Civ2

There's an idea story forum cheerleaders. Everybody make a d/ with some sort of feminine sounding name and the pic of a really hot chick as the avatar and basically post support comments.

I will gladly take part in the interviews etc and think it a great idea

My apologies for being away for a while, but as Paddy said Ive been on holidays and prior to that started a new job etc. Time has been in very short supply over the Summer months.

I have also made a suggestion regarding Metaliturtles joint story idea in the thread regarding it, ie we play an 8 player or 8 teams PBEM game, and write a tale to go with it. Of course this would be more complicated than a demo game as there would need to be more organisation with saves etc. The difference between a Demo and PBEM is the number of civs that can be controlled by human players/teams, but the limit of 8 teams total applies to all PBEM, where as in a single civ demo game we could edit in up to 30 opponents

I'm new to this forum and thought you might like to know how I found my way here.

The civgroup icon for the Story Writers Guild is intriguing. Looking up what that cool little symbol meant is what brought me here.

I don't read the news letter, but if contest winners were mentioned on the CivIII main page I would certainly see that.

I'm using the topped polls as an index to this forum. It works good enough, but a thread with links to stories and a brief teaser by the author, like in book jackets, would be fabulous.

Thanks to all the authors and organisers here. I suspect that once you get someone here they keep coming back.
