I do like the post counts, but they should be less prominent (titles only in profile.. etc.) but i do like lancer's second idea very much (although i'd never get to deity, considering my 'MarkG has * posts as DanQ' thread(which, by the way, you should check out))

sammy, consider this, at the moment you're an insinificant warlord yet to make a name for himself. Well let's just say tomorrow you're looking through your uncles telescope and discover a metior heading straight to earth and the US/Canadian/Greek space agencies combine efforts and save the world.

For being a great guy and prominent Apolytoner you could go from Warlord to Diety, assuming Mark and Dan aren't too mad about that thread you mentioned.

Of course for a jump of that magnatude you better be driving the rocket that blows up the metior...

Also, though it would make it possible for a Warrior to become Diety, it might make it impossible for an Emp.

Diety would be like an Apolyton Medal of Honor.

I think the idea of deity promotion by Admins. is an excellent idea. But for the award to be given it should be voted on. If an admin is thinking of presenting an award of deity level on an apolytoner then he should post it so we can all vote on it. Only then after the vote is approved by all should that person recieve their promotion to deity.
Requirements for promotion should include.
Quality of Workmanship: Such as scenarios, mod packs and other contributions to Apolyton.
Quality of Posts: Did this person post a lot of spam or were they valid questions and articles worth reading?
Etiquette: Was this person ever banned, did they follow Apolyton's code of conduct well?

Thing's like this should be taken into consideration. A vote would be more fair to all since it would be the majority that would agree on that person receiving the award. Personally I would like to stay at warlord, it goes with my name. Good spam should be considered too. The Coffee Shop for instance, which I frequent. What do you think?

WarVoid, a vote is a good idea, you gunna manage it?

Actually managing a vote can be a trick, Narck and I did one w/ Mark and Dan helping out, the Apolytoner of the Season thing, royal pain in the butt, but fun too. Anyway I think that there would be spontanious threads reccomending ppl that the top brass could consider...but perhaps it should be spontanious rather than organised, and left up to the owners in the end.
