I made a list of what a turnplayer must be able to do.
Requirements of a turnplayer:
1. Consults the forum and IRC for advice
2. Plays by the plan set out by the turnplanners
3. Prompts the turnplanners when random occurance or new information happens.
4. Does all this promptly
I guess we take as many turnplayers as possible - it's the plans that need to be consistent, not the players.
Plans for random circumstances could be made on the spot by the people in IRC - it's better than having no feedback, and not as time-consuming as a forum post for every square explored.
General plans would be in posts at the forum, once the randomness is sorted.

This gives us a leg-up in diplomacy.
How do we co-ordinate an attack if we Rock/Paper/Scissors where our troops go?

That idea ROCKs. I suggest we make a PAPER about it.

I rescind the idea of a paper.
But the idea still rocks, and as such, defeats any attempt to scissor it in two.

I find it hard to believe that the crowd can stone us if we're well preapred to wrap it up.
