Sorry to any people who are just seeing the fantasy football threads. If there are 2 gung ho FF freaks who are in neither league, we can bump this league up to 14 people but we need to hear from you asap since we will be starting the draft soon.

EVERYONE! Copy and Paste the settings I posted on the first page along with your suggestions if you don't like them. In the other league we have 10 yds per point for RBs and I have it set at 15 yds per point. I split the difference between 10 yds and 20 yds and think 15 will work fine but I'm not that particular though I'm leaning toward the 15 yd/pt.

These aren't written in stone, let's hear some suggestions. I'm thinking of reducing sacks to 2 but if we keep it at 3 it'll make def linemen a bit more enticing.

Also, I will bump tackles and assisted tackles up to 1 pt and 1/2 pt respectively. If we decide on 0.8 and 0.4 I can go back and change it...

Here are some rules regarding draft procedures"

1) 24 hours till BAPAY, i.e., you get the highest ranked player if you don't make your pick within 24 hours of the last person. If you BAPAY once you get only 12 hours till the next BAPAY. I don't want people repeatedly taking 23 hours and holding the rest of us up.

2) Remember, delays hurt us all so be responsible and make your picks. If you can't, you can avoid a BAPAY and save us all some time by leaving lists of players with me or someone else who can post your pick. Check the draft thread every day and try to keep an even closer eye on it when your pick is coming up.

Imran, how do you find the highest ranked player for BAPAYs? I don't even know where to find the rankings, much less the rankings for the settings we have.

I'm going to add a bench spot since we have individual defenders. We have the same # of bench spots as poly 1 and it has team defenses.

I figure 1 bench spot for QB, 1 or 2 for WR, 1 or 2 for RB and that's 4 right there. We need at least 1 bench spot for defense and that would leave 1 spot for TE, K, and WR/RB.

Berzerker - the player listings on Yahoo have a ranking system - I reckon it's based on last season's performance, so there's still a good chance of someone picking up a few decent rookies and making a splash.

We can vote on it, but I'd rather have 7 bench so people have to squirm a bit when deciding whether or not to drop a decent player to make up for a bye week player 8 spots would make it a bit too easy.

QB and 1 bench QB
2 RBs and 1 bench RB
2 WRs and 1 bench WR
1 WR/RB and 1 bench WR/RB

That leaves us 3 bench spots for the following
1 TE
1 K
3 defenders

Actually, 7 is pretty easy, oh well... 6 seemed too constrictive...

We have 3 votes for a go on the rules and 1 vote for possibly bumping the bench spots from 7 to 8...

Oh yeah, for any newbies, each team will have a bye week do you'll be without players for one week so be careful not to take QB's or another critical position sharing a bye week or you'll be hurting when both players take the week off.

You'll need seven bench spots for fairness. Seven benchspots makes it eighteen slots in total, giving an even-numbered draft.

Duke, true, but we don't want really big teams since that means more draft rounds. And limiting bench spots creates some pressure on people to choose wisely. Just make sure you don't draft important position players who have the same bye week and you'll be alright.
