Fair enough and to be perfectly honest, if you didn't draft him, I would have.

This time, however, I found it difficult to pass on Torry Holt.

It's hard to tell who Bulger will go to this year. He might go to Bruce more this year, or just spread the ball aroung generally.

But Holt has more of that breakaway speed that makes for 60 yard TDs. Bruce is the possession reciever.

Don't get me wrong. Holt's abilities have certainly surpassed Bruce's and Bruce it aging a bit, but it will be better if Bulger spreads the ball around more this year.

Suffering from ads?

Bruce did have 69 catches, so it wasn't like he was just standing around not getting the ball. The problem is that without Faulk, the Rams O loses a dimension. It's easier to focus on the WR and Holt is better at losing his defender, IMO.

Holt had massive numbers last year, 117 catches for nearly 1,700 yards and twelve TDs.

It's hard to match that, but even if his production decreased to 100 catches for 1,400 yards and ten TDs or so, I wouldn't be complaining.

And I suggest that you guys don't take it upon yourselves to BAPAY people without some consultation with the Commish...that's bullshit.
The first post clearly states Monday as being the BAPAY start date and it is only 1pm my time.

If necessary, I will normally get a PM at CG.

Actually it says we won't start in with the BAPAYs until Monday. Nothing saying that 12:01 Monday was the start date. Sorry about that though, I'm sure none of us mind you changing your pick to Barlow.

Anyhow, I'm sure none of you are going to cry over Barlow...he's just SF's starter now and will be a top 10 back by the end of the season.

Going out on some limbs this league--two players with new roles so far.

After drafting, everyone should just PM the next manager to say he's on the clock. It's pretty bleepin' easy, and the Commish has enough to deal with. Quick, simple, and keeps it moving.

But people shouldn't rely solely on PMs. They should check the OT every once in a while.

Full PM-box? Change here!

That's nice, I won't And I doubt it, that would mean you're watching the thread darn near 24/7.

That would help.

quote:

Yup, once people expect a PM and it isn't sent we'll all be waiting for someone who thinks they don't need to check in until they get a PM that was never sent. It isn't too much to ask that people who signed up for this to check the thread once a day or leave a list with someone.

Duke, check the thread everyday and more often when your pick nears. You'll be picking before the weekend. Don't let the current lag fool you, most people here are good about making picks in a timely fashion and it can really speed up.

Oh, I had to get you a Viking and since the best RBs were gone it was either Moss or Culpepper and you had Culpepper at the top of your list so I gave you him and took the other. Corey was your third RB listed and the other 2 were gone and even though RBs were getting taken quick I figured Culpepper stood a better chance of being grabbed by Jonny than Dillon...

Also, I'm junking your list since it didn't help me much past the first 3-4 picks. I really didn't know who you wanted first but figured Culp was a safe bet. If you want to PM me a new list, rank the players in order so I know your priorities.

SPACED COWBOY! You're up, and don't forget that after you pick Vlad has 2 picks and we're right back to you. So, if you can't hang around for Vlad to make his picks, send Imran or Zopperoni a private message with at least 3 players you want in case Vlad grabs 'em. I won't be around until late afternoon or early evening.
