A mini-bar is the kind of small bar you find in some hotel rooms. In case you have a party there, you have some booze and a counter to pass it out. Sometimes it's a glorified cooler, though. 
To learn about courtesans, I suggest watching the movie "Dangerous Beauty," starring Catherine McCormack. Courtesans were the most educated women of their era, who were allowed to read books, advise politicians, support their family, and of course the principal defining activity: sleep around for money.

Considered the most technically advanced research facility of its kind in the planet, the new Advanced Morgan Laboratory (AML) dedicated today will support some of the faction’s most delicate experiments in Industrial Automation for production and assembly that will lead to rapid industrialization of the virgin Planet. Chief Executive Officer Chaunk, Chief Manufacturing Officer Impaler, director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy and Chief Research Officer Archaic, Senier Operations Officer and Commerce General Counsel AndiD, and Executive Officer of Manufacturing Committee Rubin were among the participants in the formal opening ceremony today at the Morgan University campus in Morgan Industries.
The $235 million, 49,843 square meter (536,507 square foot) Advanced Morgan Laboratory features five separate wings—two of them buried 12 meters (39 feet) under ground—with stringent environmental controls on air quality, temperature, vibration, and humidity. The new facility allows AML to provide the sophisticated measurements and standards needed by Morgan industry and the scientific community for key technologies such as nanotechnology, semiconductors, biotechnology, advanced materials, quantum computing and advanced manufacturing.
“At the end of the day, our nation and our citizens will be safer, healthier and more productive as a result of the work that will be done here,” Archaic said. He noted that the Morgan faction faces challenging planet setting, stating, “We need every edge we can get; combined with our talented, dedicated personnel, this laboratory is an edge like no other.”
The construction of the AML was enabled by the locating of a material pod that was scattered toward the planet before the Unity was broken. Special features of the facility include:
- 338 reconfigurable laboratory modules;
- a Class 100 cleanroom
- enhanced high efficiency particulate air technology
- precision temperature-control laboratories;
- vibration isolation
- humidity control
- human friendly minibars
Research efforts planned for the new facility range from a more comprehensive Industrial Economics policy to accommodate free trade and other strategies for multiplying capital that is pushed by leaders in the financial sectors, to the creation of a standard for Planetary Networks that deemed as a high priority for the scientific community.
