for the 15th bajilionth time, Duck and Cover seems dumb, but it was a) before hydrogen weapons b) good because the soviet weapons were inaccurate in any event, and c) good because the soviet hydrogen weapons are poorly maintained. Getting under cover isn't a stupid idea.
