I think a club would be more crowded and noisier than we would wish (at least to begin with)

there are a number of places where under21s can get into where those of us who are older can also drink

Would a motley crew of internet geeks really want to meet in a club? I can't really see anyone wanting to meet in Dream or Nation on Saturday night

Although I hate to say it, Georgetown would be a good all-ages destination at night. 18th Street/Adams Morgan is more of a 21+ at night. Dupont might be a suitable area too...

In general, the tolerance for under 21s is inversely purportional to how late at night it is.

I think we ought to do a dinner-ish place for those under 21. Capital City Brewing Co. downtown or Capitol Hill is my suggestion, depending on what the parental units have to say for those under 18. Both are very close to Metro, which runs very late on weekends nowadays.
