Yeah. It has a meaning. And when you figure out the meaning, you figure out the war. And when do figure out the war, it's only step away from figuring out who this Swedish man is.

that sash thing got me nowhere... but let's see, it's a photograph meaning its post 1850's... the uniform indicates post 1870's... but the fact that the artillery piece has spoked wooden wheels as opposed to tires would mean this is pre-1920's... what war did sweden participate in during that period? none... hell, Sweden wasn't actively participating in any war since the 18th century! there was that sending of some troops to help the Finns out against the Soviets but that wasn't an actual war.

OK I'll give it up... so there can be other pics to be analyzed.

AS came pretty good with his thinking patterns though, and would have come close to cracking the case if given more time and few clues more. Good job

The point is, Sweden didn't do war. But you got the time there pretty good, the era, and so the next thing would have been to know, or study, or guess, that there were Swedish guys in here to help the White side in our Civil War. Yes, maybe it was too hard of a picture . Sorry..
