They aren't so bad as they were against us.. but they still don't look very good.. Swedes are a lot better and something is still with the Czechs.. Foppa just scored, 2-0 for Sweden.

I mean look at their roster, they havent still scored a single one.... after 80+ minutes. It's just bad, plus they've now got 6 goals scored against them, and Vokoun has been good, so it's not his fault.

wow-- I just saw it went to 3-0.

But these games don't matter much anyway. So the Czechs wuill have to face Sweden or Finland in the quarters.

Winning or losing these prelim games aren't a big deal . .. its all about getting your team playing well so you are ready when it counts. It looks like the Czechs have a long way to go

That's right though... but Czechs are not looking good at all right now.. It only matters when they play against us or Sweden again, but... it's not looking good. They've got nothing in the bag of tricks now.

Again, it doesn't matter a great deal who won except now the Czechs are even more certain not to get to play Germany in the quarters. But the fact that they are now playing well is the key. I think they could be a dangerous opponent .

Canada's rocking Slovakia 2-0 (both goals in the first five minutes of play.

Did you guys see Mario getting manhandled by 3 Slovaks? He held onto the puck despite that and made a beautiful pass off to his man at the point. No goal, but it was unbelievable stickhandling.

Canada wins 5-1, they played a good game. Both goltenders made some awesome saves at key moments. The Slovaks kind of dissapointed me, I thought they'd be better.

Just noticed this thread. Just got to see the last period of the canada/slovak game. Canada will probably win the cup, they just have to much skill. Though I would like to see the US win they will have to up play level. Canada has the skill so I would say the other teams are gonna have to play harder if they want to win.

Well, I was a meeting and had to miss the Canada/Slovak game. I'm not too upset, though... Sounds like the Slovies didn't put up much of a faight.

That's quite disappointing, really... A solid, cohesive team with Demitra, Gaborik, and Chara shouldn't really be something we can just walk all over. It makes me sad when they don't even try.

Damn you emotionless Euros!

It is impossible to overrate Mario. His knees don't work, his back doesn't work and he's pushing 40.

He's still the best stickhandler in the ****ing world. Even when he only manages to put in 10 minutes in a game, it's 10 minutes of the most inspired hockey you'll ever watch. He's ****ing magic. It's like the puck is glued to his ****ing stick.
