On to Persia.

Several roman legions were smashed into bits, at the cost of two brigades of Heavy Cavalry, in addition to some losses from several other brigades. One legion is left with a token presence so to warn other Romans against going into battle with the mighty Grecian armies.

A roman galley was sunk at sea as well, reasserting the supremacy of the Grecian naval fleet.

Sent on to the Dial Up King ...

Only one combat of significance occurred in 200 BC; a roman Heavy Cavalry unit was crushed by our great leader, Peter the Great, son of Alexander, and his Loyal Followers Cavalry brigade. Soon all knees will bend to his great Army, led on the field by the great general Pyrrhus.

Turn sent. I noticed there is a lot of propaganda comming out of the Greek camp, the Greeks delusion of grandour reminds me of Hitlers V2 attacks -- they made alot of noise but really did not help him when all was said and done. While on the Island Operation Overlord quietly waited for the time to be right.

Strictly speaking the V2 attacks didn't do much damage - but they certainly made a lot of Brits lose their sleep.

In my case I'm substituting RP style grandstanding for a combat report. Roman equivalent would be appreciated, RP style or not. Dang annoying to have no idea what went on combat wise when I wasn't on the offensive ...

Put an end to popups!

On the last turn I'd guess little to no combat occurred - but there have been many turns that combat did occur - some of which I missed until the end of the turn, particularly on galleys - that was not reported.

During the year 165 of the reign of Phillip of Macedon, we find that our great Army, led by our son Peter, named after his great-great-grandfather, has defeated a roman Legion in the no-mans zone. He successfully made it back to our fortress with only minor injuries.

The reign of Phillip of Macedon began 165 years ago, in the year you call 350 BC. We do not know of this "Christ", so we date the year as we always have - based on the current monarch. Our current monarch, Phillip, has enjoyed a particularly long life, and thus we are happy to announce it to be the 165th year of his reign.

On to Con.

Aside from the razing of a Roman Silk distributor who was apparently not valuable enough to defend, no human-on-human combat occurred this turn. The Greeks would like to report that the end of the Scythian empire is near, with greek and persian forces converging from both sides. The Greek and Persian forces of course aren't quite sure to make of each other, as they're not exactly on the best of terms themselves - but it seems that as long as an opposing force presents itself in between the two, no combat is necessary ... yet.

conned

The Greeks report nothing of merit occurring this turn. They repeat their earlier request for COMBAT REPORTS from the Romans. It would be ever so appreciated if we could know when one of our units has perished.
