Che: IIRC, they didn't retcon Ned's actual "adventures" as Hobby, but painted them as Kingsley pulling his puppet strings after finding the GG lair and taking the first few rides himself. I know it's not a whole lot of consolation. I'm in the "If it ain't broke..." school on retcons, too, but if you still read comics, you should check the series out.

I gave up on the Marvel crap myself when they 1) brought back Jean Grey/Phoenix and 2) disassociated Jean Grey from Phoenix. The last being too much BS to bear.

Well, first Scott ****ed up in the Head because of En Sabeh Nur. Then whilst he was all confused and moody (I know...classic Scott) the White Queen made a pass on him, and he figured "Well, it isn't cheating if we're just having freaky Telepathic sex"

Y'know, he started off good. Really, I think Magneto should have stayed "Dead" from the Sentinal attack.. now we got the drug-addict, and whatever the Hell is going on in eXcalibur....I read the first 3 issues of that and I am wondering when Claremont recieved the brain damage. Probably a reflection of his longtime career writing screenplays. I imagine writing screenplays is very similiar to writing comics...I do like his Dialogue.

Good call. There has been so much. And loosing his daughter, and the marriage trouble, etc.

According to Wikipedia, the retcon had it that it was never Ned, Kingsley just put the costume on him to try and fake his own death and get away with it all.
