This is tough since I never had a Spectrum, I have to think about my older commodore games, didn't start playing till 87. I of course meant chuckie egg

C64s were great I had over a 1000 games, ~6 I purchased legally.

well the wording in the clues has confused me a little.

Do the screens scroll at all or are they fixed screen-sized screens with no scrolling ?

if there is screen scrolling of any sort then i guess Jetpack edit: i'm not sure now if the screens did scroll on jetpac.......i remember that it did look prety good though for a game of this time.....oh well.

and i'm sorry for DoYing

Bombjack is correct. If Dunk wants the point it's his, since you aren't allowed to make 2 guesses and thus it's your own fault you gave him the answer.

This was a huge game at the time, probably helped by its arcade connections. I always found the game too fiddle-some. Still it did have some excellent back drop graphics( well except for the poor ZX speccy ).

was Grimfandango a good game? i know it got good reviews, but did anyone of you guys play it and enjoy it? I've seen it around on budget labels and had a look at the cover etc, but somehow passed it over.

Is the pope a catholic?

Grim Fandango is a MUST play if you are even slightly inclined to like adverture games. It's funny, and has some of the most inventive adventure game puzzles of all time.

Reviews at the time were mixed because, be warned, the difficulty level does not get any higher than in this game.
