Now I just have to learn how to use that password thingie ...

I can currently enter the admin password to change ric's pwd, but then I have to play his turn for him, which i'd probably rather not do Otherwise, i can skip the turn, or send on the admin pwd to ric - or is there a better way to do this that I don't know?

Nope. Using the Admin password forces you to either play his turn or pass it on to the next player.

As far as I'm concerned, if you and he are not in contact - I say play his turn. If both of you do have contact, then you should pass it on. This is how we've played it in the past and it has worked out so far.

Okay, i'll do it that way. I have contact with him, so I'll pass it on. (Not sure how anyone could avoid having contact with anyone at this point in the game, all of us being expansionist and all but anywho )

McM - I can sympathize with Witt here. I have 40+ pbem's on the go, many with replacements, and it is easy to forget who has been added. Paddy can attest to a game where 3 times in a row I sent it to the defunct player out of habit - instead of Paddy who was the replacement. A lighthearted slap up the side of the head was all I got. And yes - I too could've and should've checked in the thread.

I have been in many pbem's with Witt for a couple of years now - and he is a very solid and reliable player. May I suggest a little slack is required - and yes - an apology.

And Gramps - - now you're getting us all excited.

(btw - how much time do you spend collecting pictures to post....???)

This is being blown up to much bigger proportions than necessary. I was just a tad bit annoyed that I had taken quite a bit of an effort to keep the game going. Wittlich only had to read a few posts back to know who to send the save. I don't see what that small effort has got to do with the number of PBEM's you play. You do that by choice anyway.

I have high esteem of Witt's devotion to keeping games going, and exactly that probably added to my suprise. In fact I'm happy to have him in quite a few games. Moreover, I wrote the message without the intantion of insulting you, Wittlich.

Why that sarcasm in reply? Not that I feel ofended by it, just puzzled.

Folks and I believe I speak for Paddy, me and him sometimes inadvertently or sometimes maybe slightly intentionally get our feathers ruffled against one another but we calm down and relize we are both passionate people and sometimes take things one way or another and well, we are mature enough to apologize and move on...

I been playing CIVIII for what...3/4th of a year ??? and yesterday it dawned on this iggorant person known as Gramps when Snoopy was talking IIRC in the Expansionists thread, that you need special resources to make certain units and I know you do but just now figured out ya gotta have it a road or a colony to a city to get that benefit
