Thankfully, all I've gotten out of the Highlands of Scotland is a family name complete with small (small enough to be a bed-n-breakfast) castle, red hair, and some freckles. No nasty, cut-it-with-a-lawnmower backhair to speak of (stray hair here and there). Legs? Somewhat. Arms? Yeah, but not terribly so. Chest/pits? A little. But no back hair.
If I wanted to pet a cat, a dog, or a chimpanzee, I'd pet a cat, a dog, or a chimpanzee. The only locks of hair I want to be running my fingers through should be on the head. I could probably tolerate a modest amount of chest hair, but smooth is more appealing to me.

ditto for me as well.
little bit of hair on my chest, and around my nipples. none on my back thankfully. my shins/calves have a decent amount of hair. the rest of my legs have some hair. my forearms have some hair, not much on my upper arms though. no hair on my ass either- thankfully.
as for my face. I don't think I could ever grow sidburns. Maybe I could grow a thin goatee. Definately not a full beard. I might be able to grow a mustache- but it'd probably look like ****. |
almost exact same thing.
Enough hair to say I have it , but not really.
I face shave about every 4 days.
I could never grow a full beard.
My father is like that too, although it increases a bit with age.
Hes 50 and still has full head hair, and almost no gray hair so hopefully I'll go that way.
(One of my grandfather still has all his hair and not completly gray, and the other's is gray but a big sparse.)

I am extremely hairy, including back hair, and I'm of Scottish descent. I'm kind of developing the philosophical attitude that I don't care what other people think, and therefore refuse to attend waxing salons, or follow other feminising metrosexual trends. These days even chest hair is considered disgusting, let alone back hair.
Hairiness couldn't be removed from the gene pool in citiies and such in the miniscule time period that civiilisation has been around. It would take hundreds of thousands of years. Anyway, if women, apart from our modern fashion sense, didn't like hairy men, it would have been weeded out already I believe. Therefore women on a subconscious, instinctive level must really like it. Hairiness is a good indication of high testosterone and ferility for example.
European women can be quite hairy also. They are constantly shaving their legs or waxing, not to mention attending other more private regions of their body. I think it's quite hypocritical of them to demand unrealistic qualities from men. And if men are waxing or getting their hair removed by laser, the genes will be passed on to the next generation anyway. So until genetic engineering tampers with this factor, it will be around for a while to come.
