Thank you very much. And I hope your endorsement does its part to keep a rambling overconfident Yale-educated elitist from the white house. The only way he can win the war on terror, is by changing his position so many times he confuses the terrorists

just after. '38 '39.

The campaign wasn't to urge voters to vote for Kerry either, it was either way. Of course, most Brits who would care enough to write would be pro-Kerry, but it wasn't mandatory.

Yeah, unlike the rambling overconfident Yale- AND Harvard-educated elitist we currently have in there.

From the official biography:
quote:
President Bush was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, and he grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. He received a bachelor's degree from Yale University in 1968, then served as an F-102 fighter pilot in the Texas Air National Guard. President Bush received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1975. After graduating, he moved back to Midland and began a career in the energy business. After working on his father's successful 1988 presidential campaign, he assembled the group of partners that purchased the Texas Rangers baseball franchise in 1989.

I too endorse Bush, I can't think of any other president to have alienated the US from the rest of the world so much in so short a time whilst squandering so much money - hopefully another four years will start to see a shift in the balance of power away from America towards the rest of the World...

DrOse..etc (too long, reminds me of a long book),

I will not play Peekaboo with who decided the 2000 election. It was the Electoral College. Al Gore whined about not getting his homestate so much he sued, which is of course ridiculous on the legal level.

Perhaps if I am shot, and then an ice cream man stops by and gives me ice cream for a discount, he is the one who shot me? I think your world, is more dangerous than Bush's, do not vote, and do your part and convince the elderly not to vote, while you are at it.

He sued because of rampant election discrepencies in Florida. The US Supreme Court decided to halt the recount effort which effectively gave Florida to Bush and thus the Presidency. Flordia wasn't the only vote-counting f*ck-up that year, it was just the main focus of attention because of its many electoral votes.

You people say FOUR MORE WARS but Kerry voted for the war. What do you do now, jail the ice cream man, I bet.

And the recount. I can argue Bush voters were discouraged when the election was called by the NBC-MSNBC-CNN axis. So maybe it was just close, and in this day and age you can argue anything. Who's the whiner now, you and Al Gore, go to have some coffee.

The point is that every election has a few flaws in it, but he didn't sue because that one was particularly corrupt. (Certainly not on a Kennedy-Nixon 1960 standard) He sued entirely because he was a sore loser and wanted to win, not out of some moral concern for the rights of the disenfranchised.

Again with the retarded ice cream analogy?

Kerry voted for a forceful message granting the President the authority to go to war as a last resort after other options had been exhausted. It wasn't a green light, it was a warning that the US had had it up to here *brings hand to upper forehead* with Saddam, that if he persisted in defying the UN resolutions there would be real consequences, war if necessary. Congress was told the Saddam had uber-buttloads of WMD's and if they didn't give Bush the authority to act there would be Iraqi UAVs flying down Main Street, USA. Hmmm...

It's interesting that the "protestors" who came to the places conducting the recount effort were conservative operatives protesting AGAINST the recount. We may never know for sure how the votes fell, but the fact that conservatives fought tooth-and-nail against a free and fair election recount process is very telling.

The recount was never finished in the first place. They kept changing the definition of "intended vote" on those damned punchcards, not to mention all the ballots that disappeared, reappeared, or were never counted in the first place. Gore's camp wasn't clean from that hair-splitting, but he wanted the recount to be completed in an acceptable format, Bush's wanted it to stop all together.
