nope - didn't get it yesterday, just got it, stayed up to finish playing, it's an easy turn (I work graveyard shifts, so figure it's about 4AM equivalent for me

I work night also so after work (morning) is the best for me also.

I was told you played your turn but for some reason the game did not come through. Could you resend.

Or for ease you could put the file in the post. This way I am shure to be able to get it even when email messes up.

sent to shawnmmcc. I am going to try another Email provider, mabey there will be fewer hangups. Try sending to hotmail( other than the provider the rest is the same). mabey there will be more luck through them.

If you still have problems with the attachment then there is always putting it in the message like I did that one time.

So the turn does not get lost so much how about we put it in our post.

it is pasword protected so others cant get to the info unless they use cheeting methods like reading the text in the save or using a 3rd party program.

I know there are files for editing scenarios and working on graphics, etc. When searching for tech trees, etc. the only file I ever saw for cheating was one that was supposed to let you look at the map and also find hidden units. Pretty bad, but at least it doesn't let you change another person's data. I never downloaded, if I wanted to cheat with SMAC there are quite a few ways to do it with the game as is. Besides being wrong, what's the point? If you play this kind of game I suspect blatant cheating is rarely in your psyche.

I used to play Diablo and many cheating files are delivery vehicles for Trojan horses. In that community even some help programs (the game had a distressing tendency to corrupt character files so there were save programs that could be used to cheat but that also had a legit use) were trojan delivery vehicles. It got to the point the writers of the help programs published the exact size so you would know if they had an extra "payload" so to speak.

The only real use I see of them is by CMNs to make games and checkup on a game to see if someone is cheating.
