Well, I've always been pro labor, but I think the idea of the workers union, while good in it's intent, has been a poor idea, prone to corruption and intimidation from many angles, and often hurts the workers the most.
On the other hand, the glorious notion of US companies being "flexible," in that they are easily able to hire and fire as needed, has been taken to extremes. We have management raking in bonuses for restoring profitablilty, by getting rid of their workers.
Meanwhile the gap between CEO and staff worker continues to grow. The separation of wealth is still a hard problem to solve.
I think what I would like to see blends the best of Capitalism, Socialism, with a strong sense of national identity without sacrificing being a good world citizen. Is that Nationalist Democratic Socialism?
And of course, there is always my affection for the Slavic hotties found in Commie land. They simply PWN their Western Eurocom sisters, I mean it's not even close.
