In light of accusations in CGN, about Sebed, I guess this game is screwed up. I can't see a way back unless with some understanding from other players.

Well, it depends (for me) on how much of a lead Sebed has in the game. If he is not so far ahead its ridiculous, then I'm happy to continue with a replacement- perhaps a less-experienced one. On the other hand, our CMN could always open the relevent turn & reduce Sebed's position: destroying facilities & units & artifacts, redistributing wealth & techs etc. to make it more of a level playing field for the replacement.

I'd like to continue if at all possible as it's been an interesting game for me.

Well my position (and my predessor's BinT) was pretty much the focal point of Sebed's attack.

I agree it is an interesting game concept. Whoever takes over Sebed's faction would need to agree to a total non aggression pact to me for x years and withdrawal from territory.

To be truthful it may be best to start again.

While it would be a shame to lose 50 turns, if the situation is such that it would be better to start again then that's fine by me. Let's make a decision though & get moving again.

You can impose sanctions on Sebed's former faction like - sign peace for 20 yrs, don't build an SP for 20 yrs, pay some ECs to all others, give back captured bases (if there are any) etc.

And if the position is taken by not so skilled player you can still have an amazing game.

I recall that there was talk of a CMN being able to change using a Kody tool, the status of a faction from human to AI (or even AI to Human).

That might be a possibility.

Or go back 10 years and restart.

Play on until you get to Sebed's turn, then the person before Sebed - Hercules sends the Sebed's turn to Darsnan for a switch, then the player after Sebed - Barinthus recieves a modified turn from Darsnan and keeps on playing and sending as before.

The only bad thing about it might be that the AI will have a different diplomacy than Sebed did.
But that is justified as some players might have benefited from Sebed's cheating by recieving ECs and tech they wouldn't have if Sebed was not a cheater.
