The gods have once again visited their loyal worshippers in Africa and have bestowed on our mighty civilization the cure for all cancers. These are surely the greatest gods of all.

LOL!

What a dry sense of hunour Trev has

Wonder what Makeo will do to wipe the smile off our faces... Trev and deity are allied. Makeo and Lungchild are allied.

The once dominant Asiatic civ is waning...

Big cities are winning out over numbers of cities.

Oceanics rock!

First to fridges, first to auto.. pop of nearly 40m; huge GNP on low lux; techs at 2-3 turns with slower tech paradigm...

but Asiatics got the Hoover equivalent...

Afrikaans close to Oceanics in pop - Trev said 34m I think

The oceanics have been well in the lead with GNP, tech rate, population etc, but in all 3 instances, the Africans with their larger number of growing cities are quickly closing the gap. During the last session, oceanic pop increased by 1/3, Africans by 4/3, Africans turns/tech decreased by 40%, but will decrease by much more in the next session as it is just starting to boom, and the stable tax regime is beginning to return so much money, that tax cuts will be offered in the next session. The lage number of African cities, along with substantial irrigation effort is now beginning to pay massive dividends, and in the next session this will show with a population greater than the Oceanics

Makeo is the winner!

He took out Trev's civ in a very long turn and we voted to declare him the winner... well done Makeo!

A well-timed hit. I could have hit back but would have taken several long terms with no guarantees and no fun for Trev. If I'd had 2 movement modern units I might have given it a go

Battleships were my best bet but with a dead ally it wasn't worth the time. Makeo'a pop and GNP catapulted past my leading position by absorbing Trev's civ!

We decided to implement the 3 city rule in the next game to keep it more realistic.
