And speaking of "I AM CANADIAN", for those of you have not seen it, here is one of Canada's all time favourite beer adds. Which is a bit ironic, as Molsons (A Candaian Company since 1779 or something like that) and Coors of Denver just announced a merger.

Any way - it may not mean much to you folks, but it certainly speaks to Canadians.

Funny, I don't recall expressing it before, but I could make room for one more normal game, provided the Asians don't think replacing con will stack our team too much.

And it is Labatt's Blue. Labatt's having been bought up a few years ago by that dutch or belgium beer maker - interbrew.

as to the beer du jour ... hmmm - good question, I suspect Blue is still the number one seller (a lager). Probably followed by Canadian (another lager - by Molson's) and the Export (an ale by Molson's). But the average Canadian would tell you there are very few beers they have met that they didn't like. And that includes the disgusting Milwaukee's Best. Which reminds me of one of my favourute jokes of all time ....

When I traveled to Winnepeg for a sports tournament a few years back, I got the impression from some guys I was with that Labatt's was hip in the same way that Pabst Blue Ribbon and 'trucker caps' were...

For great 'American' beer, try Leinenkugel's. Leinie's Red ranks up there with some of the best European imports I've had. Unfortunately, even though its made in the same state, and owned by Miller (HQed in my home city) I still have to pay frelling import prices for it at most bars I go to...
