Not sure how it is done here in Other Games, but in Civ III pbem when we draft someone, we add them to the list, then send them a link to that thread letting them know when and where etc

Just close the player list as it is. It's as easy as if there still is one Mafia left when there is only 3 persons left in the game, the Mafia has by default won, becuase the villager will then not have the required majority when voting the next day.

Huh? If we had two people left on the last day, we'd have to have the vote, and we'd obviously have a 1-1 situation. In absence of majority the coin toss is used, not some strange rule that defaults the win to the mafia. If we can't find a 24th player, Ljube could do the old trick of having mafia #1 "kill" Ljube in the beginning to kickstart the story.

To do this right, just include Ming and have him be the the first killed. It would only be appropriate.

No, if there is a 1-1 situation, the Mafia is the one to have the upper hand anyway, he is after all a murderer. I might not be good at explaining the rule, but it's the ususal way to play it where I live at least.

That's what I would suggest. Send this to Ming and tell him he has a choice. To play, or to be dead.

Killing Ming is so much more magnificant than killing the Spamski or the old ducki.

I have asked him to join previous games where the topic was of interest to him. Timing just never worked.
But he has expressed interest. I won't want him to finally decide to play and be killed first. That has a tendency to kill interest in future games.

And since if we do a Apolyton gone bad theme, it's only appropriate that MING DIES to kick off the game.

Well if he does decide he can come over, the GM can decide to pick the mafias to be the ones who like Ming a lot, and of course we won't vote him off the first round, I mean he is the best loved admin here is he not?
