Seriously though, I don't know enough about the thought processes of President Whack-Nut (either one, theirs or ours) to know how worried I should be by this.

While I can't speak for Bush, obviously, for my part I'd just be glad that the area was under the control of rational totalitarian butchers for a change. With Kimmy in charge you never know what kind of wacky stuff is going to happen next.

But I don't know, China's got enough technologically backwards, corrupt mudholes to manage as it is, without taking care of NK. They might find it easier to just randomly kill officials and withdraw with the nukes when the gov't collapses. Kinda like we planned to do with Iraq, only NK has actual nukes to take and China, not being especially concerned with its human rights image, could actually pull it off.

Yeah, Hanja tends to appear more on legal/government/archival/academic documents. If it appears elsewhere, it'll be really simple things, like "fire" and "mountain" and what not.
