Have you guys actually seen one yet... in person. I hate Sony, but I've gotta say those things are pretty slick. The screen is very big and looks great. It's lightyears better than the Nintendo DS.

google and a couple other sites I tried were fine

I am recharging it for the first time now

I'm still holding out for the ultimate in covergence devices. I want a cellphone, a PDA, a game machine, a camera, a GPS, internet, a portable video player, and MP3 player. I'd pay big money to have just one gaget that does it all.

GPS and camera are coming out for it later...

internet is already here (and I am sure will come out officially soon)

it is already a video player, MP3 player and game player....

that leaves cellphone and PDA? (I don't want it to be a cellphone, I bet PDA functionality will come out soon)

it is like ~250 barebones

I could buy a DS and 2-3 games for less than a PSP. I won't even go into the fact that an X-Box serves as a better movie playing platform and there are far better options for playing music.

but you can get any movie you want on your PSP

doesn't take make to download one (if you have a computer)

you basically just have to change it to mpeg 4 or something

there is already lots of futerama, family guy, etc out for it

in japan they already have (official) sites where you go, pay a couple bucks, and download a movie onto your PSP

with wireless on the PSP you don't even need a computer...

We also have CD rental shops, with plenty of blank CDs for sale to encourage ripping and burning. Doesn't mean you'll ever see a similar thing in America...

well, the programs to change encodings is already here

(and have actually been used by a lot of people, there are a lot of shows and movies available for free)

it is just with that option you would probably have to download them to your computer first... (which is more of a hassle)

and it would be illegal...
