I am in so far for $107,199 in federal tax with a 4868 extension form (first time I sent it out to a CPA, rather than doing it myself), but I pay more in property taxes than federal income taxes.

I guess I'll shower, and then drop off my check for $320 in the post office.

I actually made too much last year, I couldn't take a deduction I used to take. But I'm still far below the national average as I said.

But I was unemployed for 2 months this year, my taxes should be alot better next year .

And I would bet that the average income for educated white 50 year olds is considerably higher than 46,000

And i would further bet that a good percentage of the posters here are white and educated.

So far my tax liability has been one of the smallest posted by the older members here, not even half of the lowest of the top three or four. For you younger folks let this be a lesson: This is what happens when you serve the people, not like a politician, but actually serve people. They're like birds. They leave droppings on you. They won't bat an eye about paying their mechanic, hairdresser, or liquor store, but the concept of paying the doctor is strange and repulsive to them.

I filed my taxes via the Internet today. Itīs May 2:nd in Sweden. All it took was two sets of numbers and a click at the "File taxes" button. Done! And Iīm getting around $200 in tax return. Yay

I may as well use this therad to come out and say it. I'm an underachiever. I used to make good money but I gave all that up. I'm pathetic . I'm the kind of guy would would rather work less for less money. Although if I could work less for mo' money, I'd do that too.
