I've just bought a couple of bottles of Leffe Blonde, a 6 pack of Hoegaarden and a couple of large bottles of Lowenbrau. Since coming back from Salzburg, and having it forced on me as the only continental beer on tap in college, I've developed a taste for the Bavarian brew. Leffe clearly rules the world of beer though, when it comes to things widely available around Europe. Hoegaarden's better for a summer afternoon's drinking, but Leffe just has a flavour and a relaxed feeling to it that's wonderful. Leffe Bruin is a little dark for my tastes though. If I want soemthing that dark, it'll probably be English, and come in a pint glass
I just wish they sold Delirium (Nocturn or Tremens, I really don't mind) in this country.

beer from a can
drink it like a man out of a bottle...and if someone asks if you want a glass take the glass trow it at there face and say that the beer is already in glass ...stupid people when do learn that the only good beer comes from belgium, chech republic and the Netherlands...AND IT DOESNT COME FROM A FREAKIN' CAN! |
Which is why Leffe, Hoegaarden, Delirium and just about every other decent beer producer has their own glasses, to bring the best out of the beer. Drinking from bottles removes the aroma, the head, and the feel of the glass. Bottles are made so you can dance with them, and usually contain overpriced beer. Draft is clearly far superior. Or if you have a bottle, pour it into a glass made for the stuff.
Moreover, are you claiming German beer is not good beer? I think the thousands that decent on Munich annually would disagree. Plus what particularly decent beer comes from the Netherlands? Belgium have fantastic beer, as does France. The Czech some impressive brews, and Germany a wealthy of brewing experience and variety. England has some fantastic beers, if you go for the traditional drafts rather than the mass produced crap. Even the US has Sam Adams and a whole host of decent microbreweries.
There are good beers everywhere, if you look for them.

well aperently the glass joke is only known over here...so i will shut up about that ...but german beers are way to fluffy and the foam of german beer isnt that good...the french beers tastes more like water than beer (goes for almost all southern countries beers) and although belgium beer is very good it isnt my personal taste...
