Im sorry ramo but i believe i read he was making mastaboutry motions as he was leaving not just grabbing his crotch. To me this kid went to that speech to get arrested to prove a point. he accomplished just that. had he just went there and asked a dumb question and left the auditorium with out acting like a jackass as he says he was he wouldnt have been arested.

Im sorry i see it as being the same whether your holding you penis openly then doing it through your clothes. makes no difference to me the jesture is still obscene in public. Oh, and btw, this wasn't "fighting words" because there was no rioting or a situation where a riot was imminent. You can't just arrest someone for saying something foolish in a diner, there has to be an incitement of immediate of breach of the peace or the utterance itself must inflict injury (like calling someone a slur to their face).

Now if he was inciting a riot, that's different. But he wasn't, so it doesn't fall under fighting words.

I have already said i have a friend that was in the audience and he saw him grab his crotch. I hardly see that as making things up. As for the frat guy if he acts ike a jerk to a bunch of people especially frat guys he will get is ass whipped, whether i think he should or not is irrevelant. Is it going to happen probably yes. I stated many times is what i meant that the kid was seen grabbing his crotch by someone i know that was in the audience. if i worded incorrectly then pardon me. I have already said over and over the kid shouldnt have been arrested thrown out yes. i said back in the beginning the police jumped the gun a bit. however if your actions disrupt the public then that is cause for a bit of action. Actually, Coulter ought to arrange for a bunch of right-wing students to attend her speechs. If a group of anarchists begin to disrupt the speech, these muscle boys could go after them. Perhaps they could throw pies or other food at the anarchists, as that seems to be legal.
