Oh get over it. So what if Lucas decides to do a little commentary on current events in his film? Most movies do so. I don't know of any evidence that Lucas is some sort of rabid Bush-hater. Does criticizing someone with whom one disagrees instantly make them a rabid hater?

I was thinking about posting a thread about the movie "Silver City." That movie was made by asserted liberals in response to "Florida 2000." What the movie is is an all out attack on conservatives and an almost laughable conspiracy theory about politics in a hypothetical Colorado. It is so overdone as to make anyone seeing the movie laugh instead at the pathetic liberals who made it, and the craziness that are liberal conspiracy theories.

I can only wonder how Lucas could have mixed current politics into his movie. But I am shocked that some think that he did.

I believe it was G. Gordon Liddy (though I'm not entirely sure if it was him on the radio... I seem to recall it was his show's time). He took issue with the part where Anakin (after his Dark Side turn) said "If you're not with me, you're my enemy." and he believed it was a swipe at Bush's "If you are not with us, you are against us".

At times Hannity is worse than Limbaugh in his assigning of leftist conspiracies. I guess it keeps the listeners rolling in.

O'Reilly isn't that bad on it, but once in a while he'll roll out of the leftist conspiracy theory (his newest kick being that the left wants to outlaw religion.. but he's usually better than that on other issues).

Imran, I hadn't heard that one before. I do know that the ACLU filed briefs in the case stating their concern about the right of privacy.

Regardless, I am sure you know my position on euthansia: I favor it. Does that make me an extreme leftist or an extreme rightist --on this issue at least?

Me and my son Tristan are looking forward to this movie. I was 12 or so when the first movie came out, and I've followed it ever since. I admit that Phantom Menace and the last one weren't too good, but I have to know the rest of the story, and I hope this one lives up to the hype.

One of the reasons why I think that NAZI Germany is to the "left" of America, not to its right. The things the NAZI's did (not their racism, of course) are actually advocated by the left or are now a feature of leftists governments, especially in Europe. I reference euthanasia and universal health care, regulation of profits, control of industry by placing government representatives on boards, etc.
