I'm gonna go ahead and say the obvious.
Medical intern.
30 hour shifts, 80 hour work weeks... and that's positively cushy compared to what went on three short years ago. I'm LIMITED to those hours, and I still can't get all my work done.
Plus, I make less per hour than the average tape jockey at Blockbuster.

My wife does triage in the regional Level 1 ER. She's usually pretty good at handling the "worst" that an ER can throw at a person (like when the med-techs have to make several trips to bring one patient in), but what really gets to her are the kids. All I have to do is take one look at her when she gets home in the morning, and I know when I open the paper that I'll see that some poor kid wasn't buckled properly, or was in a parent's DWI accident, parent's cigarette started a fire that burned the kid over 70% of their body, etc., etc., ad nauseum..... 
That, IMO, is a tough job....

I'll go with that. Plus they always assign you the smelly bag person or the looney alcoholic.
