I suggest you grab something tight, because even I could barely believe it while I waged my campaign: the japanese are no more. Destroyed by the romans.

From how I have been able to reconstruct the proceedings, when I enticed the romans to go to war with the japanese, the japanese threw their entire might at the romans - and lost all their offensive units. A few tuns later, I started wreaking havoc in the old Incan empire and encountered absolutely no resistance (no more than 1 defending unit per city).

I actually even managed to conquer 12 cities in one single turn with my tanks and cavalry by railroading unconnected cities with a bunch of workers I had brought along to lose as few movement points as possible.

In the heat of the fight, I failed to notice that the romans enjoyed themselves nearly as much as I did, and that my spanish friends had also decided that the japanese were ripe for the picking - until one turn, the message came up that the japanese had been destroyed by the rampaging roman forces.

Now the face of the world has changed - I have restored the old Incan empire, Spain has a few more cities (not to mention myself), and the romans are enjoying their place as second biggest civ in the game (until they cross me... heheh)

Small side note: when I restored the Incan empire, I realized they had also taken their revenge on the japanese by conquering one small size 3 city near to the two that were hidden behind roman cities

Aaaah, I love this game!

...and thanks again for the great feedback!
