While using operators and such seems usefull, why not just use the advanced search page?

In any event I just decided to try this out by typing in the names of people I used to know and in no time I was coming up with resumes, phone numbers, addresses, family pictures, and all sorts of other personal information. It is really scary the amount of information each and everyone of us has on the net. Even with just a user name to go on I'd bet it would be possible to ferret out real names, work addresses, home addresses, phone numbers, and other stuff I really wouldn't want some internet freak getting a hold of.

Now, I'm scared.

I googled my first and last name -- I could not find any private/personal information about myself from the search results.

There is private information of me on the web.
Should I care?

Nope, I don't care.
I'm more scared for crazy men in my neighbourhood then for some jerk somewhere on the web.

how do you use operators to do this?

I can't find any mention of myself at all on the internet. I'm actually happy about this, but it doesn't do my ego any good to know that my existance is unnoticed by all.

tried finding myself again.

I come up with some mention of gay girls. I'm not sure about that one

that's not me of course, as I'm not a gay girl. I see boxing, world series of poker. None of them is me.

I am in stealth mode, I cannot be detected.

Hmm... 13 out of 17 google results on my name are for me, mostly stuff from school and that time I was in the newspaper.

Apparently there's only two of us... me and a Vicodin distributor in Japan.

My name and address does come up on this. It uses my old telephone number though. And it doesn't have my date of birth.

It says you can click the name to find more info on the internet, but that option doesn't come up on my name entries. But it does on a few others that aren't me.
