Ipods suck compared to all the competition. Not only does Apple try to tell you what you can and can't do with your own music but they cost to much, their battery life sucks, and their sound quality gets pwned by most of the competition.

This is the best digital music player on the market.

BS. The last time I checked the iPod minis were less expensive than Zen micros: for the same price as a 5GB micro, you get a 6GB mini. The sound quality doesn't get pwned by most of the competition. In a blind test, with the same headphones, you probably couldn't hear the difference between a iPod and a Zen. You probably could hear the difference, if there's one, on a high fidelity sound system. But I'm pretty sure you don't own a high fidelity system. A friend of mine just spent 4K$ on a amplifier.

You have to be kidding. Well I guess you are asthetically impaired.

I saw one of those on the bus the other day and the guy had bought ipod headphones to go with it. I listened to one of them not long ago too – my cheapo flashpod has a better sound. I guess some people confuse "good sound" with "whizz bang" – then again, some people like that.

Besides, if you aren't going Apple, iRiver has a better reputation.

I have to admit I have never seen an ipod IRL, but from the pictures I've seen they all look ugly. I just don't see why some round thingy in the middle makes the player look good?
