heheh... long long story involving another poster and myself. in a nutshell we were the first to meet on apolyton and date. i stopped using the legend title after we split up because i deemed it improper. she still uses it, however.

Stefu- that's because more than 12 were inaugurated some years. The goal of the hall is to remain slightly exclusive and only admit 12 per year.

By accident, we have 67 members from 2000-2004 when we should only have 48. Some of the extras were due to posthumous inductions (3), one was due to an accidental tie (1). I have no idea where the others came from. Thus, I'm trying to slow down the induction process so that we retain quality in the hall. This year only 9-10 will be inducted, next year will be the same (probably); after that, we'll get back on track!

In fact I say we just raise the voting age here on the forum to 3 years. No one should be allowed to vote until they've been here at least 3 years. They just don't have the experience on the boards necessary to cast an informed ballot.

I think you should need the old timers support to get in... again, who knows the site better. It also helps the candidates who did great things for the site but are no longer around. Many of the new people don't know who they were, and don't realize how much some people contributed to make Apolyton what it is

I agree with that Ming. I also thinks it's wrong to give the old timers more people to vote for, it should suffice with more votes I think.

I feel like an old timer myself btw, although I won't be with these proposals before after next year. But that's okay, I am not nearly as old here as many others. 4,5 years is some time though, especially on the net. I don't know what I'd do without poly. One thing's for sure, I wouldn't be nearly as much on the net as I am now.
