You have to have a bachelor's degree to be on JET. That's the only real qualification. Nova takes anyone they can get and they burn through them at a prodigious rate. Don't go Nova if you can avoid it; every Nova teacher I know hates it. The other private companies are better, from what I hear.

You can only stay on JET for 3 years. I don't think Nova or the other privates have a time limit.

Unless I'm travelling or about to pay for something with cash (which I rarely do), I almost never have more than $100 cash on me.
