@Atahualpa: that essay from Mark Twain on the german language is excellent (from the link in your signature). I am german, and seeing my native language through Twain's eyes really made me laugh my head off

Me too, I laughed tears over tears and pretty everytime I read it. Last week I came to read it again and I was sitting in the lab, holding my stomach and the tears back because I couldn't stop.
It's probably the funniest work ever written about german. Twain is a ****ing genius!

(I should probably note that I am Austrian)

i remember on my old piece of crap computer that it took a month to finish a game, and that was with a "1 more turn" mentality that had me playing most hours of the day.

i could read entire chapters of books while waiting between turns.

Heck, I still do "1 more turn mentality now". With a faster computer I can do more turns in a day
