Ahh how fitting my thread gets spammed. Sweet karma.
Anywyas here are the exculsive answers to all of your most burning questions about Wendy's!
wtf?
That is the wendy's slogan "Quality is our recipe" I say a lot because I am sarcastic and like to point out what BS it is.
Has anyone died after eating one of their 3/4lb triples?
No but some guy killed himslef in the parking lot once.
Why dont we have wendys in the UK?
I don't know write a letter to your congressman. Oh wait its the U.K. your system is differnet. Write a ltter to your congresswoman.
What kind of oil do they cook their fries in?
I'm not sure but it hurts a lot to spill or slash on you, tastes like crap to inhale, gives you terrible zits, and looks like an awful shade of diarrhea
What preservatives go into the hamburger pattie? The maet is deilvered fresh daily or so they say. It seems to be just a LOT LOT LOT TRENT LOTT of fat.
Is the hamburger 100% USDA approved beef?
It's legal to use when it comes out of the box, although some of the guys do go play Rocky with the sealed beef in the freezer during the slow points of the evening, but I don't think that affects it much. I think when they reshape it by throwing it agaisnt the ground that may break a few health codes.
Should fast food restaurants really serve chili?
or be called a restaurant?
I think it is really silly how the managers and training videos talk about it like it is a restaurant. It sort of is, in htat it has comfy booths in the "Dining Room", but other than that, we're just like the McDonald's across the parking lot.
As for Chili, sure, it is supposed ot be tasty but the general rule for all fast food joints is something like this: Meat that is bathed in a strong sauce is usually leftovers. It kind of reminds me about how curry was created to feed rotting meat to people.
Is Dave Thomas really dead?
Yes, be we're working tirelessly on reanimating him.
Are they still serving COLD burgers? My last Wendy's was a decade ago.
I had a two people turn back burgers I grilled the other day, because they were overcoked and flavorless (I was pretty embarrassed). As for cold burgers, I don't anything about that. The only cold area is the freezer which makes restocking really fun. The rest of the 'kitchen' is sizzling.
Okay, I want to know why every single time I go through the drive through, they get my order wrong. This has been true for me in Wendy's across the country.
If you are going during lunch or any other rush period, then caveat emptor. Things begin to move lightining fast during rush periods, and one inexperienced crewmember (me) can really throw a wrench in the works.
Just be sure to check your food as soon as you get it, it's not prudish to do so. The one advantage of coming during a lunch or other such rush period is, that your food is many times more likely to be hot and fresh, which IMHO makes it much more worthwhile.
