Well, that's a position, but it is a theist position, and not at all agnostic. You just haven't decided on the details.

No, my point was that it doesn't matter what half the world believes. A billion people believe in Hinduism. Are you now going to assert that because 1/6th of humanity believes in Hinduism, it is therefore valid?

It's sad you have such a weak opion that you let it be swayed by what others think, rather than what reason and evidence tell you.

I think for most people the only logical way to be is agnostic...

(note that you can be an agnostic theist.. or any other such things..)

to be something other then agnostic takes faith, which I think is entirely reasonable to have (and realistically everyone has faith in something..)

Because it is a very nice theory, though a bit dangerous:

No, really, at some point all was going for export, so there was nothing left in shops but vinegar. If something was brought into shop, it soon disappeared.

Atheism/agnosticism debates are even more pointless than cap/com trollfests.

My latest tactic is calling myself a "nontheist". Hasn't made anyone make bizarre conclusions about my beliefs or lack thereof yet, but I suppose that's just a matter of time ...

Nope; the one begins with non-, the other with a-.

Atheism is commonly taken to indicate an active disbelief in God. Nontheism is meant to indicate merely a lack of theism.

I'm not particularly optimistic of it working, tho. Many people see unable to accept that someone might assume such a position.

Well, one could say that it would help, but it's really apalling mismanagement of resources by FEMA/whoever else is responsible.
