Holy cow, I missed all that discussion until just now.

I must agree that a three-person game is just asking for trouble. Someone is going to get ye olde shaft no matter what. In our little game, given the distribution of the factions, I'd say that the events so far have been 95 percent predictable. The Hive wouldn't win a race to transcendance, so they must attack. Morgan doesn't want to fight, so he's got to make nice with somebody. Hive's out, so that leaves, um, the Peacekeepers.

I truly hope that both of you are still enjoying the game. If it's not fun, let's stop.

Yeah it's still fun. Since you are back looking at this Bd I'd like to ask you a question. Before Morgan built the Empath Guild did you tell him about my sudden increase in military building right after I got impact weapons? It shouldn't affect your current security situation, and I am curious.

Turn is onto the Hive. Hey, congrats you got a free Impact rover to kill.. I mis-moved one of my units. Ah well, such are the spoils of war. Nice force you have moving through, btw.. I especially like the two formers.

As for warning, not really. He'd told me you were building military, but you're the Hive.. i was expecting that. Honestly, we went a lot longer without war than I thought we would.

Wealth is starting to hurt me.. my moral is sucking. Yours isn't. But I can't give up that +1 energy per square.. I just can't...

Oh I was looking at the board, just in the wrong place. See, I bookmarked the bottom of page 4 and didn't notice we went to 5. I feel like a character in Spinal Tap.

Don't recall the extent of the information passed on about your impact speeder buildup, but Morgan was apprised of the situation. Wouldn't do the U.N. any good if Morgan got caught with his pants down, so to speak.

On to other news ... U.N. is looking for a new naval commander. Commodore Gilligan just isn't cutting it, and has been dismissed (Skipppperrrr!). Anyone who can differentiate warships from intelligence teams strongly considered.

Today from Morgan/TigToad HQ came word that the Hive has been driven out of all southern cities that once belonged to our beloved empire. It is believed that gains will soon be made in the island-continental land war now that our war is back to only one front. CEO TigToad was quoted as saying "This was just the first step in the long process of teaching the misguided Yang a thing or two about damaging good business. The CEO had no comment however when reporters pressed him for information on the rumors that the Hive were developing planets first aircraft.

I have been lurking around this thread for a while, it was really interesting when Garth Vader launched the attack, and all the "in character" posts make it much more interesting. But now that there is no fighting the excitement for lurkers such as myself isn't as high as it was.

Solution: Start a war Make it bloody with nasty atrocities so you can all post outrage at each other's actions.

Hive Official announcement

It is with great glory and pride that I would like to announce the capture of Morgan Industries, and an nearby base. We have now added the Human Genome project and the Empath Guild to our collection of projects. The bases were captured due to the cooperation of the Hive Imperial Air Force and our brave minions on the ground. This day shall now be declared a national holiday. Curfew shall be extended by 2 hours. Pieces of Morgan's headquarters will be paraded through selected cities soon, ask your political officer for details.

On a dissipointing note, Morgan himself escaped capture we suspect to the southern continent. Don't worry citizens he will be captured and tried for his crimes against the Hive.

It is with the deepest of sorrow that it be known that today we lost Morgan Industries as well as one of our other major supply centers and chief producer of war material. We expect our government will live on for the short term by having moved to our massive production facilities in the southern continent, but as of today we can be effectively considered a defeated people. Hopefully what support we can lend to the war effort on part of the Peacekeepers will help take down the unfortunate terrorizing menace that is the Hive, however we are concerned for all the good people involved.

I have failed as your CEO and leader. I just wish my apologize or death could ease the suffering of the good people that once prospered in this land.
