I'm going to be in New York for about a week starting sometime Saturday. I don't expect any trouble playing my turns, but there may be some delays while I'm driving up there and I may have less time available. Of course, there is always the chance that I will have some technical difficulties up there, but I'm not expecting any. However, if my turns don't get played, that will be why; it's more likely that I'll post to the thread less and may be slower to play, but if anything more disruptive happens, I'll try to get word to the thread if I can, but, as I said before, I really don't expect any trouble.

Fellow leaders:
I write to you with a heavy heart. It has come to my attention that Provost Zakharov has violated the UN charter and engaged in the use of chemical agents to suppress minority populations within his faction. Upon confronting the Provost and demanding he cease this atrocity, he chose to declare vendetta upon the Peacekeepers.
My intelligence indicates that the University does not presently have the capability to wage war across Planet's Oceans. Thus there is no need to invoke defensive pacts. They are however secretly developing a powerful new weapon, the Chaos gun. I warn you all to be on the highest level of alert!
Peacekeeping special forces have been dispatched from the UN Ocean Authority to neutralize this emerging threat. No action beyond viligance is presently required. Faction leaders who wish to aid the suppressed should direct their forces to the area around Cosmograd.

As of Tuesday, Dec 18, I will be traveling internationally until Jan 26. During that time, I may not have enough net access to continue regular playing.
Should I drop off for more than a few days, please feel free to replace me. All I request is that my follower respect the mutual defense pacts the Peacekeepers have negotiated as Planetary Governor...

Sorry for the reload. I had forgotten all my plans after the long break and made some really stupid unit moves on the first try -- no combat or pods were involved.
I'm back online now with my laptop in Argentina and am ready to keep playing; glad to see I wasn't the delay!

And now, down to business: with the assasination of our Leader, Levelisk, by the Believers, the Gaian High Council has put the whole of the Gaian community on a war footing, with the objective of routing the Believer's forces wherever they can be found, and of confining Miriam herself to Lady Deidre's private Biology Lab, where genetic samples can be taken from Miriam, without the use of anaesthetics..... 
We will maintain the name of our fallen leader Levelisk for 1 Standard Turn, in order to honor him properly, before changing the name to our new leader, Darsnan.
