rich i would play early ....but no one wants an out of control ai on the board after i leave.....especially a mongol one yes i know the ai can't wage war........but still ......if you like i can play early and then bail....to play ming.....

Yeah Ming....if you played early i might have a little more incentive to play on Saturdays........

who ever wants to get icq phone up and running let me know. just make sure your sound card is working and you have a mic and speakers. the only one i have not been able to get up and running is berzerk. he has an old unix based firewall i am still trying to figure how to get around.

War4ever... I'm glad you got into the early saturday game since I didn't get home until very late and wouldn't have been able to play.

I do have my own computer back now, and everything seems to be running fine, so I look forward to playing again in the future.

That was fun Saturday and particularly so given that we got further along than I can remember in a four person (well, mostly 4 person) game. Hope you got your problems solved War, especially since you have a few days by yourself! Didn't like quitting in the middle of my celebration, however.

Anyway, I'm outta here until Labor Day. Gonna go catch some fish in Montana. See you when I get back.

Actually I tied for first (low net) in the "A" flight. I'll find out how much I won Saturday.

Yes that game was fun, we got farther than normal. Needless to say, after you left, I had to face an endless barage of muskets/rifles and cannons. Fortunately I also got them a few turns later, so without your intel coordinating them, they weren't a problem. Some day I'll figure out why the AI marches solo cannons up to your cities. NAW

Bird was lagging in military techs, so I was preparing a surprise for him

I had vet defenders in our border cities, but no gunpowder yet ( I don't think). Were you going for the forest city or the mountain/gold city? You might have been able to take the forest city, but the mountain city would have been tough.

War4ever will have to change his name. None of you other wimps were even fighting.

We were too close military tech wise for me an war4 to go at it. Even though I know he was trying to get a window to try it. He almost had it getting metalurgy when he did.

Vet cannons will take out vet pikeman, even on mountain, as long as you have a few extra cannons. And once I got a vet rifle fortified on the mountain next to it. Nothing you had could have scratched it.

yup...vet cannons.... i was a little too slow..... but that is the first real window...... when two are equal it makes war a real crapshoot....

too bad i couldn't have coordinated the units a little better than the ai.... what a waste
