Cant make a rule like that , some one line repsonses are all that is needed to adequately express some ones opinion re the topic. Also a lot of Mods/Admins answers to questions are simple one line responses. LEts not decide that to make a post not spam that it has to be lengthy or it wil ltake forwever to scroll through all the responses...

Regarding this earth 2025 thread: Eli, cut it, would you?
It’s not like any of got banned, we just got a PCR and I believe PC’s are pointless anyway. Yes, I know I made a sting at Markos afterwards with that “Yes you can kill this forum Markos” thread, because I detest being punished while believing having done nothing wrong, but all people who do something wrong believe that, right?
So I apologised for that because I know this is hardly something worth to make a fuss about.

The thread was dumb and Markos took away something dumb, no big deal really.

I agree with MarkG. Ming has already encouraged you several times to post the whole thing in public, but you continually dodge the idea. If you don't want smart-ass uninformed comments, give us the whole story not just bits and pieces of it that support your point of view. You accuse Ming of using an "appeal to popular belief", but how are you any better when you refuse to publish <em>all</em> supporting data? Put up or shut up.

BTW, for the record I initially thought that the pcr was wrong; however, after hearing (reading ) the reasoning behind this fascist tactic, I now support the decision. I really doubt anyone else will screw around in an on topic forum like this again.

We have agreed to keep it between us, so no other comments are needed.

The facts are simple... I deleted one of his threads... he wasn't pleased... we have discussed it in private... we have agreed to disagree... Case Closed

And back to the thread...
Again, the common sense rule is critical for maintaining order here. There is no way we can anticipate every possible situation, so there is no way we can cover every example in the FAQ. People will always continue to disagree on how rules are interpreted... but that's the way it is
